Dr. Ksenia Kyzyurova

Biography: Ksenia N. Kyzyurova was born on April 19th, 1988 in Leningrad region, Russia. Before completing a philosophy doctorate (PhD) degree in Statistical Science at Duke University in the summer of 2017, Ksenia received a bachelor's (BS) and a master's (MS) in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science in 2009 and 2011 from St.-Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO). Ksenia earned MS in Statistical Science en route to her PhD from Duke University, USA in 2014.
Ksenia earned her PhD in Statistical Science under the supervision of James O. Berger and Robert L. Wolpert. After completion of a PhD program, she gained postdoctoral experience in the pre-COVID-19 years of 2017-2019, namely, those at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia in the group of Marc G. Genton, Brown University Data Science initiative for statisticians and biostatisticians, in the group of Joe Hogan, and the University of Sheffield, the United Kingdom, under the supervision of Dr Miguel A. Juarez.
Ksenia's research aims at promoting the development of Bayesian statistical data analysis for interdisciplinary studies. Her dissertation focused on methodological and applied aspects of implementation of Bayesian statistics to analysis of scientific computer models within objective Bayesian framework. Later projects focused on developing Bayesian statistical analysis of clinical and synthetic trials. Corresponding links to the research findings are provided on her website http://kseniak.ucoz.net .
Dr. Asif Ali Laghari

Biography: Asif Ali Laghari received the B.S. degree in Information Technology from the Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering Science and Technology Nawabshah, Pakistan, in 2007 and Master degree in Information Technology from the QUEST Nawabshah Pakistan in 2014. From 2007 to 2008, he was a Lecturer in the Computer and Information Science Department, Digital Institute of Information Technology, Pakistan. In 2015, he joined the school of the Computer Science & Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, where he was a PhD student. Currently he is Assistant professor in Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Karachi, Pakistan He has published more than 60 technical articles in scientific journals and conference proceedings. His current research interests include Computer networks, cloud computing, and multimedia QoE management.
